Content path stays direct
Material goes from the organization to the AI provider it selected. It does not route through Altura, so we are not an additional party holding sensitive content.
Product
Altura AI is our applied AI practice. It exists because the gap for most mission-driven teams is not access to a model, it is knowing what to do with one, doing it the same way twice, and deciding where the line is.
The problem
Anyone can open a chat window. What small teams lack is the layer above that: a repeatable procedure for a real task, a way to keep quality consistent between one staff member and the next, and an agreed position on what the organization will and will not use AI for.
Without that layer, AI produces one impressive result, then quietly stops being used. Or worse, it gets used badly in a context where accuracy and confidentiality actually mattered.
Approach
Documented, step-by-step procedures for the tasks a team actually repeats: preparing teaching material, drafting multi-channel communications, producing meeting briefings, writing up reports and processes. Each one specifies the inputs, the exact prompting, and what a good output looks like, so the result does not depend on who happens to be at the keyboard.
Policy templates and ethics guidance an organization can adopt and adapt: what AI may be used for, what must never be pasted into it, who reviews output before it goes out, and how AI involvement is disclosed. These questions are far cheaper to answer in advance than in the middle of an incident.
Tutorials that walk a real person through a real task rather than demonstrating a feature, plus integrations that connect AI tooling to the systems a team already uses. Where an engagement needs custom work, our AI systems practice handles retrieval, search, and private deployment.
Operating model
This is a deliberate design decision, not a limitation. Altura AI provides the workflows, governance, and training. The organization connects the AI provider it has chosen and holds its own credentials.
Material goes from the organization to the AI provider it selected. It does not route through Altura, so we are not an additional party holding sensitive content.
Usage is billed by the provider at the provider's rate. There is no resold-token markup sitting between the team and what it is actually spending.
Because the account belongs to the organization, changing provider or leaving entirely does not strand its work. The workflows are documents, not a proprietary runtime.

Beyond the product
Where an organization needs more than workflows, we build it. That work sits in our AI systems practice: retrieval over a private archive, vector search across documents and transcripts, evaluation harnesses to measure quality across model changes, and self-hosted deployment where privacy or regulation requires the model to stay on hardware you control.
We are happy to tell you when it does not. If the honest answer is that a spreadsheet and a clear process would serve you better, that is the answer you will get.
